Media selection of NBA 78 stars: LeBron James overtakes Jordan to rank first, Kobe ranks eighth

On August 14th, the American media HoopsHype selected the 78 greatest basketball stars of the 78 seasons in NBA history. James surpassed Jordan for the first time in the ranking, ranking first.

HoopsHype conducted a team vote based on the opinions of eight staff members, removing the highest and lowest rankings of each player and ranking them based on the remaining votes.
